“Baikal shore services” has opened a new season

On 17 July environmental camp 2014 “Baikal shore services” was opened in the Baikal region of the Republic of Buryatia, on cape Bezymyanniy.

Nowadays in the camp there are 30 volunteers from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Chelyabinsk, Tomsk, Vladivostok, Kursk, Ussuriisk, Nakhodka, Ulan-Ude, Irkutsk, Angarsk, Novosibirsk, as well as from Poland. The first few days were spent in the camp organization and construction, as well as environmental-intelligence raids on working area.

The camp of Baikal shore services is active in the area of specially protected natural territory from village Bezymyanka to township Katkovo (25 km), as well as in the region of settlements Goryachinsk, Turka, Maksimikha. In addition, within the month the camp is going to make  work trips to remote areas in Bargusinskiy (peninsula Svyatoy Nos, Ushkany Islands) and Tunkinskiy (Shumak) regions of the Republic of Buryatia.

The camp of Baikal shore services is organized with the support of the Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal and a number of other public and commercial organizations.
