The researches continue at Lake Baikal and the Selenga delta within the framework of the International scientific expedition “Trans-Eurasian flight: Leman-Baikal”. The main hyperspectral platform for installation on the ULM has arrived yesterday in Istomino. The complete remote sensing platform now comprises the total of six cameras. The scientists are focused not only on the data collection, but also on the quality of the collected materials.
A joint team of researchers from the Polytechnic school of Lausanne and young professionals from the Faculty of Geography of Lomonossov Moscow State University continue sampling in the border areas of Lake Baikal. Yesterday the experts examined Kabanskiy Reserve, but today the weather rapidly deteriorated and it is raining. The ULM pilots and scientists work in the laboratories of the Baikal Institute of Nature Management SB RAS in Istomino, looking forward to good weather conditions.
