M.V. Slipenchuk Became Chairman of Investment Board for Technology Platform Called Technologies for Environmental Development

Foundation conference of the Technology Platform Technologies for Environmental Development was held in the main building of the Lomonosov Moscow State University on November 29, 2011.  
The Technology Platform Technologies for Environmental Development was formed on the initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Russian State Hydrometeorological University, Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Higher School of Economics. The coordinating body for organising the platform was the Russian Geographical Society. The Technology platform Technologies for Environmental Development is included in the list of technology platforms approved by the governmental committee. A wide range of business, administrative, scientific, educational and public ecological organisations was invited to participate in the sessions of the platform.   
Minister of Russian EMERCOM S.K. Shoigu chairs the Organisational Committee of the Foundation Conference of the Technology platform Technologies for Environmental Development. Other members of the Organisational committee include the rector of the MSU and academician V.A. Sadovnichiy, the Dean of the MSU Geography Faculty N.S. Kasimov, the President of  the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs A.N. Shokhin; Rector of the Higher School of Economics Ya.I. Kuzminov, the Chairman of the Guardianship Board of the Fund, Holder of the Chair in Rational Nature Management at the MSU Geography Faculty and professor M.V. Slipenchuk, and others.
Participants of the conference elected the governing bodies of the Technology platform Technology for Environmental Development. In particular, M.V. Slipenchuk was elected as the Chairman of the Investment Board.
In his address to the participants M.V. Slipenchuk noted, “In order to fulfil the potential of the technology platform, we must find an answer to the main question: authorities, capital, state and private investors – how will they work together? A variety of means is required to motivate both state and private capital, to make the environmental platform work. Most essentially, we should start with pilot projects which help us to explore all the details and serve as a basis for exchange of opinions. We are ready to get to work”.
