On 2 December the IV All-Russian Congress of Environmental Protection started in Moscow, at the International Exhibition Centre “Crocus Expo”. The event organizer – the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation.
Leading scientists and experts in the field of environmental protection from all subjects of the Russian Federation, representatives of federal authorities, executive authorities of the Russian Federation, heads of environmental services of the CIS and foreign countries, representatives of international organizations and NGOs were invited to participate in the Congress. More than 3,000 people attended the Congress.
The delegation of the Congress of the Republic of Buryatia included Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Natural Resources, Environment and Ecology, Chairman of the Board of Trustee of the Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal M. Slipenchuk, Minister of Natural Resources of Buryatia B. Angaev and other representatives of the Republic.
The most urgent issues of environmental management, improvement of the quality of the environment and ecological safety and environmental role in the country economy, the advanced experience of the Russian Federation and foreign countries will be considered during the Congress. About 30 events are scheduled in the format of conferences, “round tables”, panel discussions, working sessions on a wide range of issues of environmental protection, nature and ecology.
The discussion part of the Congress is accompanied by eco-exposition, which covers an area of over 4000 m ². The main tasks of the exhibition: the exchange of inter-regional and international experience, establishment of contacts between innovative companies and potential customers, the popularization of the latest developments, ensuring interaction exhibitors with associations and volunteer movement. In particular, the stand of the Republic of Buryatia presented expedition and environmental projects of the Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal.
