In September 2013 the opening of the photo exhibition “Baikal. The Kingdom of Ice and Water” of the famous Russian photographer Olga Kamenkaya will take place at the Sakhalin Regional Art Museum (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk). The exhibition is organized with the support of the Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal.
Photo exhibition made up of spectacular underwater shootings and beautiful views of Lake Baikal shore, will allow viewers from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk to become acquainted with the variety of flora and fauna of the famous lake. The purpose of the exhibition – is to draw attention to the beauty of Lake Baikal, to reflect on current environmental issues and the need for careful attitude to the entire biosphere of this unique UNESCO World Heritage site.
Previously, the photo exhibition “Baikal. The Kingdom of Ice and Water” with the support of the FPLB was successfully presented in the cities such as Moscow, Prague, Shanghai, Ulan-Ude, Kurgan, etc.
