Today, the stage of methods development of water and air pollution analysis, which are synchronized studies from ULMs and boats finished today. According to the researcher of the Federal Polytechnic school of Lausanne (Switzerland) Josef Akhtman, the essence of this research is to simultaneously collect data for water and air under the same light, humidity and temperature. In order to use these aerial surveys, it is necessary to correlate them with the ground-based data, which in the future will allow to estimate the level and composition of water pollution on the basis of survey, without the need for sampling and analysis of samples.
From tomorrow till 29 July an intensive study with students of Moscow State University, partner of the expedition, will begin. The researchers will share their experience with young professionals and continue joint flights over the lake.
In the near future, scientists have to demonstrate the ULM capabilities to municipal services, for practical purposes, namely to monitor forest inventory measurements of settlements, drawing 3D-maps of the area, watching the reserves, the determination of peat fires, etc.
