Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal was established in 2008 on the initiative of METROPOL Group of Companies. The President of the Fund is a well-known Russian scientist and researcher, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Hero of the Soviet Union, Hero of the Russian Federation, and a corresponding member of Russian Academy of Science Artur Chilingarov.

Main goals and objectives of the Fund

• Promotion of safeguarding and conservation of Lake Baikal;
• Conduction of scientific research directed towards conservation of Lake Baikal;
• Promotion of creation of ecology-friendly and safe technologies;
• Promotion of environment protection and human health safety.
